Last year I spent my birthday solo, making plans and mapping out some things for myself…one of those things was to be INTENTIONAL in ALL I do, which included moving pass the fractured friendships I had experienced in the past and saying YES to all possibilities. From that moment on I didn’t sit in the house and sulk or talk myself out of following through with plans, I showed up….and look at what happened for this birthday…I was surrounded by AMAZING women that I can call sisters for life! The power of manifestation is REAL!
I am very grateful to the unconditional love, support and friendships that I have made a received since joining this group. I am still honored that the group founder Mechele Towe to put life coaching certification and psychology degree to use. Nene Williams for being such an amazing and beautiful woman and friend.
I found this group last year when I just needed a breath of fresh air. Due to car issues I didn't get to start hanging out and meeting ppl til January and baby it has been the air that I needed. My 2023 started a mess but with the help of these ladies and I know I am probably missing some they are helping me in my journey. With conversations on sister circle and group post to conversations at brunch, meet ups and side bars even just their energy these ladies have definitely been that fresh air.
I have not had the pleasure of hanging out with you ladies regularly because I’ve been letting life get to me but I am so thankful for the friendship in this group. You all let me check in when I need to, are always welcoming, and genuinely care about the ladies to your left and your right. Thank you for your transparency and great energy!!!
There are a couple of people that I've had an opportunity to speak to on a more personal and vulnerable level creating a window of trust. I'm so appreciative of them. Nevertheless, everyone that I've interacted with have been very interesting to meet and I've enjoyed each person in their own individual way. Each encounter has served a unique purpose wonderfully and I look forward to learning more about each and everyone of you.
I will testify that I have received so much support from the Black Women Sistahood Group (DMV) I have made some very good friends from this group. Months ago I was saying to myself “I want to find my tribe” I have found in this group sisters and aunties and a lot of these women are very loving and being at a certain age I still need advice and I get genuine advice and support. I have connected with numerous women on so many different levels. I ain’t gotta call them out because THEY know who they are. I had to step out ALONE… by MYSELF and I’m so glad I did.
My experience with the group as been a very warm and welcoming experience and it’s one I don’t regret…seriously. My first meet was nerve racking and I almost turned around until I asked one of the ladies for Nene and she immediately made me feel welcomed and accepted and checked in on me and kept me rolling. Renee was a ball of fun and just fun to talk to. I mean so many ladies I interacted with were just so awesome. I saw so much love in the room and the genuine connection. I’m grateful to be apart of this community.
I joined this group on December 22, 2022. My first meetup was January 27, 2023. I met some beautiful women for happy hour, and had an awesome time! I was greeted with a big smile from the hostess Nene who just happens to be a Williams diva like me, met my birthday twin Denise and gained two roadies, Barbara and Cynthia! Such a beautiful connection! If they are rocking, I’m rolling!
I am grateful for everyone in this group. The ability to spend time with you all & the laughs have been a breath of fresh air.
Thank you to Mechele for allowing me to be part of the group and Nene for letting me slide in her DMs. All you ladies have put a smile on my face & for that I love y’all in real life!
The first set of women I met from this group were Nene, Gladys, Delicia, Tawana, Tenisha, and Latoya! That was a few months ago, how time flies. The first time we met and from the beginning, the connection and energy from ALL the women was AMAZING. I was literally amazed at how all of us connected so easily and with no effort. During our first meet up , and although we were complete strangers, you would have thought we all grew up together. That was literally the beauty of it all!
I have found so many women in this group that have shown me so much love and compassion and many of y’all know I’m a lil ole cry baby, but that shows that I know y’all looking out for me for real that I can be that vulnerable with y’all. I fell asleep and woke up to all this love and sisterhood. To all the ladies in this group I have hung out with, cried to, drank too much with, I appreciate every single one of you.
I joined two ladies groups. The other one is OK, they're a little boujee though. And I feel out of place. I much prefer to hang out with this group of ladies. I have not made a one on one connection but everyone is really nice and approachable. Good conversations, lots of laughs, just a good time all around the last outing I went to. Looking forward to hanging out more.
