Do you want to feel relaxed?  Lovely?  Calm?  That’s how people describe the way they feel after class.  Most people take the leap to come along say, “I’m surprised – I can do yoga!”

This is a mindful class for people on a mission to improve their well-being, and add value to their weekly routine.  Suitable for beginners.

Whether you are already a regular exerciser and seeking greater flexibility, curious about yoga, or seeking mental calm, this class is for you.

There will be an emphasis on correct alignment and whole-body integration, without haste.  This maximises the strength, flexibility and safety benefits.

Your teacher Claire, will give plenty of options for any physically demanding parts of the class, so that you can work within your own capacities.  Each traditional yoga class includes mindful breathing, yoga poses and relaxation.  You’ll be given the chance to make positive intentions for the week ahead and embed them into your mind for extra motivation.

Yoga offers relief from body aches and pains, increased flexibility and strength. Yoga releases physical and mental tension, promotes correct breathing, and optimal digestive and hormonal function. Yoga increases blood supply to the tissues and organs of your body, removing stagnation, and promoting vitality and health. Learn how to slip yoga breathing into your daily life for even greater wellbeing.

We have all the gear here for you but bring your own mat/cushion if you want to.
Wear comfortable loose clothing and be hydrated. Town supply drinking water available.
Ensure clean hands (and feet if poss). Make up, perfumes and body lotions can all affect the comfort of others, and integrity of mats, so please take care. Arrive by 5.15pm.

Free parking around “Railway Green” (after Pitt St intersection) and at Harvey Norman. Free parking outside building in evenings from 5.30pm.

First class by koha, thereafter $10, CASH only unless by prior arrangement.    CSC/Gold/Student Card – $5.   No cash?  No worries – contact Claire to arrange a time or service trade.
