Your official menopause is when you have had no menstrual bleed for a full year.  In New Zealand the average age is 51 years – but what about the years leading up to this?

‘The Change’ is medically termed your ‘climacteric’.  It’s a great word that sounds like ‘climate’ – singing true for any woman who with her own internal climate fluctuations known the dreaded ‘hot flashes’!

The dreaded menopausal symptoms that can start from age 35 and continue for years after your official menopause include:

  • hot flushes
  • night sweats
  • vaginal dryness and discomfort during sex
  • difficulty sleeping
  • low mood or anxiety
  • reduced sex drive (libido)
  • problems with memory and concentration

During your climacteric, levels of hormones can vary wildly, catching you unaware and creating anxiety and mood swings. The climacteric is often referred to as a ‘hormonal storm’ and is no joke when you are going through it.

By understanding the shifts that are taking place and how to smooth the journey, many women experience a decrease in symptoms such as headaches, hot flashes, insomnia and dryness.

In this workshop you will learn:

In this workshop we will spend up to 4 hours learning about practical ways you can soothe your time in menopause and how to utilise life detox  – including plenty of time for questions and answers, sharing our experiences, and breaks.
