All events are at the Theosophical Hall, a warm, carpeted, clean venue just outside of the main square, at 304 Church St, Palmerston North. There is free parking after 5.30pm on the street outside, or free parking around “Railway Green” before 5.30pm. Town supply water available. Feel free to bring your own non-stinky snacks for evening meet ups, when you didn’t get a chance to have dinner first.
Every Wednesday – Yoga at 2pm and 5.30pm, lasting 75 minutes that pass in a blink! These classes teach you the fundamentals of safe yoga movements. The morning class in particular is suitable for medical conditions and anyone who doesn’t want to/can’t, get up and down off the floor. These are not athletic classes but you will learn how to activate the muscles of your body in very subtle ways, including core integration, so that you can get big benefits from simple movements. October 30, 7pm – MOVIE Chemerica – Watch a family learn about the industrial chemicals lurking in their kitchen cupboards, bathroom shelves, and make up bag! Is it possible to take chemicals out of the home, whilst still have a fresh smelling clean house and styled hair? Will there be any unexpected benefits for health, and the closeness of the family? December 18th, 7pm, Christmas Chill with The Sistahood. Come in for a deeply relaxing yoga class which includes a good stretch to let go of the tensions of the silly season and will leave you with restored calm! Then we can hang out with pot luck snacks and watch an inspiring and funny movie together. Bring your daughter, auntie, mum, friends, and PJ’s and a sleeping bag if you wish! $15 on the door CASH ONLY. Take it to the next level! Limited number of seated massages available during movie Shoulder, neck – 15 minutes $10; Shoulder, neck, head and back 30 minutes $20 (cash only). Bring a plate (no meat please its a vegetarian venue) or if no inclination/time to prepare a plate then how about: packet of nuts, bag of salad, pot of hummus, rice crackers, hard boiled eggs, bunch of fruit etc. You can leave anytime you want, or hang around, but I probably will kick you out before midnight!
