Free parking just after the Pitt St intersection (2 minute walk) or Harvey Norman (3 minute walk) during daytime, and free outside building from 5.30pm.

First class by koha, thereafter $10, or $5 CSC/Gold/Student cards.  No cash?  No worries – contact Claire to arrange a time or service swap to pay for your yoga.


Dip Your Toes Into Yoga – Wednesdays 2pm-3.30pm

Have you heard about yoga but are too cautious to step into a class?  Do you have an injury or medical condition that makes you feel unsure about trying yoga?  Are you too inflexible for yoga?   Then this is the class for you!

For men and women of all shapes, sizes, ages, abilities. Chair yoga is an option in this class, and everyone works with their own capacities.

We won’t take ourselves too seriously, but we will get a taster of the most simple yet hugely beneficial yoga movements, breathing and relaxation.  This style is so simple that it may turn your head on what you thought yoga to be!  This class is accessible for all.  Although the class is cruisey, you will feel released from many tensions by the time you leave.

Whether you are curious about what yoga can do for you, looking for relief from body aches and pains, or wanting to increase you flexibility and strength, then here you can try the most effective basics, that will not require you to be a pretzel, be flexible or have any athletic skills.

Yoga releases physical and mental tension, promotes correct breathing, and optimal digestive and hormonal function.  Yoga increases blood supply to the tissues and organs of your body, removing stagnation, and promoting vitality and health.  Learn how to slip yoga breathing into your daily life for even greater wellbeing.

Yoga for Health – Wednesdays 5.30pm-7pm

This class is for people on a mission to improve their health, and for already active people wanting to add value to their weekly routine.

Whether you are already a regular exerciser and seeking greater flexibility, or beginning your journey into yoga and seeking mental calm and strong mind/body, this class is for you.

There will be an emphasis on correct alignment and whole-body integration, without haste.  This maximises the strength, tone and safety benefits.

Your teacher Claire, will give plenty of options for the physically demanding parts of the class, so that you can work within your own capacities.  Each traditional yoga class includes mindful breathing, yoga poses and relaxation.  You’ll be given the chance to make positive intentions for the week ahead and embed them into your mind for extra motivation.
